Terms of Service

Purpose of this Terms of Service

• 1. The purpose of this Terms of Service is to define the rights and obligations between the users (hereinafter referred to as "User") who use the apps provided by MindWalk and MindWalk itself.
• 2. Users must read and agree to the entire contents of this Terms of Service before using the apps.
• 3. MindWalk may change this Terms of Service without prior notice.

Definitions

• "Apps" refer to Shogi Quest, Othello Quest, Go Quest, Gomoku Quest, Chess Quest, and 激戦！英単語.
• "User-posted information" refers to the content that users have posted on the apps' self-introduction section, bulletin boards, etc.

Notes on Use

• Publication of Game Result Data (Results/Records, etc.)
  • Users must recognize that the results of users' performances and game records obtained through the use of the apps may be published on the apps or the web.

Prohibited Actions

• Unfair Acts
  • Using AI or other analysis software during games, or receiving advice during games
    (However, this does not apply to "CPU Match" in the "Practice Alone" section of the Shogi Quest app.)
• Illegal Acts or Crimes, etc.
  • Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  • Posting data that infringes on the copyrights of third parties
  • Political or religious activities
• Expressions that Cause Discomfort (Obscene/Discriminatory/Violent Expressions, etc.)
  • Posting or displaying expressions such as obscene content, pornography, discriminatory remarks, violent images, or other expressions that may cause discomfort to other users
  • Using expressions that cause discomfort (obscene/discriminatory/violent expressions, etc.) in the user's name at the time of registration
• Others
  • Any other actions deemed inappropriate by MindWalk for reasonable reasons

Service Suspension

Ownership of Rights

• 1. Except for user-posted information, all rights related to all information (including game records) generated as a result of using the apps shall be owned or transferred to MindWalk. Users shall not exercise moral rights to use the information by MindWalk.
• 2. Among the information generated as a result of using the apps, game records are generally not considered copyrighted works, so there are no restrictions on their use by other users who obtained them from the apps.
• 3. As for the copyright of the user-posted information on bulletin boards, etc., it shall be reserved for the user and other existing rights holders. However, users grant MindWalk a free, sub-licensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works, display, and perform the user-posted information. Users shall not exercise moral rights in connection with MindWalk's use of the work based on this provision.

Guarantees and Disclaimer

• 1. MindWalk does not guarantee that the apps will be accessible from all devices and all regions or that they will be available 24 hours a day.
• 2. MindWalk does not guarantee that user data (such as win/loss records) will not be lost.
• 3. MindWalk shall not be liable for any damages incurred by the user in connection with the use of the apps.
• 4. Even in cases where MindWalk is liable for damages, the liability of MindWalk shall be limited to the total amount paid by the user to MindWalk as compensation for the use of the apps.

Suspension/Change of Service and Termination

• 1. MindWalk may temporarily suspend the apps without prior notice if maintenance is required, if the system is stopped due to an accident, or for other reasons deemed necessary by MindWalk.
• 2. MindWalk may change or terminate the contents of the apps at its discretion.
